Of Daniel Kandi
Daniel Kandi started producing in 2005 as half of Aurelius with fellow Dane Anders Mikkelsen, releasing the single ‘Sorrow’ (Intrenze 2005).
The following year Kandi’s solo single ‘Breathe’ (Anjunabeats 2006) was signed to Above and Beyond’s Anjunabeats label.
‘Breathe’ was the start of a long term association with Anjunabeats for Kandi, including his most successful single to date ‘Nova / Child’ (Anjunabeats 2007).
The AA side single showcased Kandi’s driving but highly melodic trance sound with big lead lines and thumping kick drums.
The same year Kandi also released ‘Turnmills’ (Fundamental Recordings 2007) his homage to the former home of legendary trance night The Gallery.
In 2011 Kandi co-mixed ‘Anjunabeats Worldwide 03’ (Anjunabeats 2011) with fellow Anjunabeats artist Arty.
